Pharisee

It's already been almost three months since the conflict has started or should I say since the meiteis started attacking kuki-zo community and their churches in Imphal. Our lives has changed drastically since 3rd of May and it's not getting any better. The Government of India has stayed a silent spectator since the assault. We've got no one but ourselves to depend upon. The media houses are enjoying the situation by betting who's gonna win the war.

I have been contemplating for a while now on why these things are happening. Why are people so into destroying one another and lying their way out of everything. I'm not here to defend a particular community nor condemn the other. My views are solely my perception and I don't expect any one to agree. Things have escalated so high and too deep to the extent that reconciliation seem like a far fetched dream. Hatred for one another has already built a mausoleum inside our hearts. Total seperation seems like the only answer in our current situation although both parties are gonna suffer tremendously coz we have been depending on each other for so long.

I have come to the conclusion that when one doesn't live, love or communicate authentically with one another, problems are bound to happen. When one doesn't love their motherland from the core of their heart but just in words, it is meaningless. The best analogy is a Christian marriage. When people think of getting married in a holy matrimony, they should be aware of the obligation of that marriage, the rules and requirements etc. first. You can't possibly be getting married in a holy matrimony just because you wanna wear a wedding dress or just for the flash or for the world to see. When you do something just because it looks nice, neat or pure in seeking approval of the world when you yourselves are far from it, it's Pharisee-ing. Without honesty - with ourselves or others, one way or another, things are bound to fall apart. The day we all start to be real with ourselves and with each other, we could determine what should be done and what shouldn't be done for our co-existence and for love to prosper.
