The Ten Virgins

Yes, we've all heard about the ten virgins. No, I'm not gonna talk about the whole parable but instead I'm gonna talk about the importance of being prepared to meet our maker. First of all let me quote/cite an unknown speaker/author from an excerpt of https://biblereasons.com/being-prepared/, "If you call yourself a Christian, but you live in a continuous lifestyle of sin, you're not prepared." A very important message, MEMORIZE it.

No one knows when our Lord will return to establish the Messianic Kingdom on earth, so one must be prepared at all times and live cautiously/gracefully from day-to-day.

Let me widen my narrative and assume that our Lord will not return in our lifetime, that is assuming from the signs and understandings of the Bible, but I'm not saying that He won't either, of course, because even the Son doesn't know when that time would be, only the Father does. So even if that's the case, where's the guarantee or assurance that you would live to see another day. See, we live in a world where thousands of people die every day. Some horrifically, some rather peacefully. Nonetheless both are dead and their judgement awaits. The other day, as I was walking back home from gym, a random thought crossed my mind which I want to share with everyone and that is why I'm writing this blog. It's kinda graphic but here it is. While walking home, what if a madman came out of nowhere and just attack me from behind with a machete and hack me to death right there and then without any reason or motive as such? Hmmm... I paused for a while and as I was gathering my thoughts another sickening vivid image struck my mind subsequently, what if a big old truck running on full speed has a brake failure and suddenly runs over me from behind while I'm walking on the pavement. Hmmm... again.

See, It's just a thought but it doesn't mean that it can't/won't happen to me. I know most of you might say that I'm being pessimistic or paranoid blah blah blah etc. etc. etc. but I'm not. On the contrary, I think I'm being realistic. Now, what would be the repercussion if everyone started to analyse death like me... I mean would it have a positive impact in our lives?...Would it make our world a better place to live?... Or will it just make it worse?!!!
